How to vote in the next Canadian federal election
Information about requirements, voting methods, and candidates
To my fellow Canadians: The next Canadian federal election will take place on Monday, April 28, but you can vote in advance in person and by mail. If you have registered to vote, you should have received your voter information card in your mail box by now.

Requirements
To vote, you must
be a Canadian citizen,
be at least 18 years old on election day,
How to vote in person
At any Elections Canada office by 6 PM on April 22
In your riding at your assigned advance polling station from 9 AM to 9 PM on April 18, 19, 20, or 21.
In your riding at your assigned polling station on election day, April 28.
How to vote by mail
If you will be away from your riding during advance and election day polls, you can vote by mail. Voting by mail is also available to Canadians living abroad.
Deadlines apply. To get your voting kit, apply to vote by mail by 6 PM on April 22. Make sure that Elections Canada receives your completed ballot by election day on April 28. Check the instructions in your voting kit for details.
Once you apply to vote by mail, you can't change your mind and vote at advance polls or on election day.
