Thanks for visiting The Data Copywriter! If you are reading my newsletter for the first time, let me introduce myself.

My name is Eric Cai, and I am a statistician based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I currently work as a Senior Data Scientist at Acosta, a company that provides services in sales, marketing, and merchandising for suppliers of consumer packaged goods (CPG).

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree with a major in chemistry and a minor in mathematics from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. I earned my Master of Science degree in statistics from the University of Toronto.

I have worked as a statistician for over a decade in many industries: manufacturing, HIV research, cancer surveillance, operational risk in banking, marketing analytics, and now CPG retail.

In my spare time, I write this free newsletter, The Data Copywriter, on Substack. I also share the same articles on LinkedIn, where I currently have over 16,000 followers. I write advice about 3 broad areas:

• Communication

• Career development for professionals in data & analytics
